Light Asylum 1 and 2 review on Casual Gameplay

Casual Gameplay (JayIsGames.com) is one of the best and well known casual gaming reviews site.

It’s has a great column called “Weekday Escape” reviewing escape games. I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the writer of that column (a very escape game addicted lady with the nickname “grinnyp”) to give her some info on my Light Asylum series.

I can say it was a very flatering review and i’m very happy that the reviewer like my games that much. It makes me want to try even harder for Light Asylum Room 3.

So, have fun reading the review and others in that site. They have really cool stuff.

Ancient Powers – Art for a collab

Yello!

I’m proud to present another game i worked on. This time a game resulted from a collab with great game developer Alberto Braga from Pharaoh Games.
My work was to make all the art. So, all the pieces, scenery, animated magic, menu and stuff like that was made by me (i also worked on the story).
It’s a match-3 game with some cool twists (Alberto did a great job imagining the gameplay and developing it).

Finally the bidding for my newest game is over and i got two sponsors for it.

It’s a small “Escape the Room” game but its the first of 5 (the other ones are going to be harder and cooler).

I need to finish some details but i can show some screenshots for now.

Exquisite Cadaver with travelling particles

My participation in a “Exquisite Cadaver” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exquisite_corpse) event July 10th on FBAL where each person had his work projected on a wall visually connected on the sides with the others and particles would travel from projection to projection and each one would present it as they pleased.

I had two works presented:

Pac-Man : the particles turn into little balls and a Pac-Man is trying to get them and eating them. Each one he eats makes him grow bigger, and when he is big enough he pukes the balls out. The amount of balls puked is proportionally inverted to the amount of time taken to puke as a measure to control the amount of particles on the screen (and eventually on the other screens). There was also the choice of human control of the Pac-Man with a gamepad.

Asteroids : the particles turn into asteroids that collide with each other and travel lineary on the screen. Theres a Space Ship controlled by a gamepad that collides with the asteroids too. You can use the ship to push the asteroids to the other projections on the side. At the end there was also some shooting involved.
